What is my user name and/or first-time password?

When were your technology services (e-mail, WebCT, my.UMDNJ portal) first provisioned?

Before May 5, 2006

Students at UMDNJ
Your user name for WebCT Campus Edition is the same as your portal (my.UMDNJ) user name and the beginning of your email address (the part before the @umdnj.edu).

Students at affiliate institutions
You will be informed of your user name and initial password by your instructor. When you log in please use the change password feature to set up a login hint.

Password Issues: Don't know or forgot your WebCT Campus Edition password or password not working.

Effective May 3, 2006
There is a new way for students to manage their password for WebCT Campus Edition and other technology services at UMDNJ. If you have already set a synchronized password, use that password to log into WebCT Campus Edition.

If you know your user name and have not yet set a synchronized password, go to the my.UMDNJ portal and do one of the following to change your password for all technology services that use the synchronized password.

  • Login to my.UMDNJ.edu and use the My Account>Reset Password feature
    or
  • Use my.UMDNJ's Forgot your Password feature on the login page to my.UMDNJ.

What is my user name?

Your User Name for WebCT Campus Edition is your UMDNJ Reserved User ID (RUID), which is the same as

  • your my.UMDNJ portal user name
  • the beginning of your official UMDNJ email address
    (short form of e-mail, not full name; example: doejt, not john.doe)
  • your computer account name

Course not on your myWebCT page

Academic courses: Your course may not appear until the first official start day of the course. check Banner Self-Service for Students to confirm that you are enrolled in the course. If you are enrolled and you do not see the course by the end off class, contact the instructor, program director or school registrar.
