Don't Know or Forgot User Name (ID)

Your WebCT ID is the same as your my.UMDNJ portal ID and, if you have umdnj email, the part of your email before the @ sign.

I do not have a WebCT ID. How do I get one?

UMDNJ Workforce

User ID's are created for all faculty and staff at UMDNJ within a few days of their employment status being activated by Human Resources or when faculty are assigned in banner.New employees are activated after they submit all of their paperwork to HR. Official UMDNJ employees may contact the helpdesk to learn their Webct ID.

Non-UMDNJ Workforce

If you need a WebCT ID to register for a IRB or other UMDNJ or UH Compliance training, use the Course Help Request form provided at The Office of Ethics and Compliance website.

Forgot Password or password not working

Students: Synchronize your password in my.UMDNJ.

Non-Students: Next time you log in, set up a Login Hint! (Use the Password Settings link on your MYWEBCT page (the page that lists the courses in which you are enrolled.)Remember that passwords are case-sensitive, try retyping your WebCT ID and password carefully.

Is this the first time you are logging in?

No. If you logged in before and you set up a WebCT Login hint, use this link to have a new temporary password emailed to you. The "Forgot your Password?" link is also found on the WebCT Login Page. The required response to the hint is also case sensitive.If you did not set up a login hint, or you are not answering the hint question correctly.

Yes. If this is the first time you are logging in, follow the instructions below that apply to you. my.UMDNJ portal users

(Faculty and Staff at UMDNJ)

Your initial password for WebCT Campus Edition is the same as the initial password for the my.UMDNJ portal. Go to my.UMDNJ First time portal help

Guests and faculty at affiliate institutions

You will be informed of your user name and initial password by the UMDNJ staff or office who sponsored your login.

If you are getting an error message when trying to register for a training or course, check error messages. If you are getting no response at all, check your access to the server.Login not accepting your User ID and password? First, confirm that you are using the correct ID and password. Next: Check your browser. If you are using an unsupported browser, you may not be able to log in.

Login to WebCT from the Login page and look for the training under the list of Courses.

Want to set up a Login Hint but don't have an email address?

Individuals: The email address required to set up a Login Hint can be any working email address where you can retreive email. You can obtain a free email account at such websites as yahoo.com, hotmail.com, netscape.com, etc.

Course not on your myWebCT page

For Academic courses, your courses may not be listed until 12 noon on the first official day of class. For courses and trainings with self-registration forms, try registering again.
