The Bergen building has a rich history. In the 50's, the building was originally a 14-story hospital with 750 beds called the Harrison S. Martland Center, in honor of the prominent pathologist, Dr. Harrison S. Martland. Over the years, the facility has undergone extensive renovations to provide modern academic and administrative space.
