After completing this training, staff will be able to:
- Describe risk factors for gang involvement.
- Describe common gangs and gang identifiers in New Jersey.
- Identify the community's responsibility to protect children and support families as it relates to gang involvement and gang violence.
- Describe the roles and responsibilities of various community agencies and the importance of inter-agency collaboration as they relate to addressing gang involvement and gang violence.
- Identify strategies to engage extended family members and community providers to protect children from gang involvement and gang violence in their home communities.
