Program Accreditation

The Vascular Technology Program is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) through the Joint Review Committee on Cardiovascular Technology (initially granted April 1999).

CAAHEP Accreditation guarantees a minimum standard for academic and clinical education by the Program and allows its graduates to sit for National Registry examination prior to graduation. Certification is a voluntary registry that is very important for advancement. Graduates are not required to be licensed.
