Biography
Lois Rockson is currently a faculty member in the Cytotechnology Program of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey’s School of Health Related Professions (UMDNJ-SHRP). She was employed at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston as a Cytotechnologist before joining the faculty of UMDNJ in 2000. She received a Bachelors degree in biology from Rutgers University, Newark in 1989 and a Certificate in Cytotechnology from UMDNJ-SHRP in 1993. Lois holds two masters degrees; a Masters in Health Professions Education, a joint degree from Seton Hall University and UMDNJ-SHRP in 2001, and a Masters in Public Health from UMDNJ’s School of Public Health in 2008. Her research interests are in cancer health disparities.
