Biography
Elizabeth Iris Rivera Rodas received her B.A. in Economics from Barnard College, Columbia University and her M.S. in Social Research from Hunter College at the City University of New York. She also attended the George Washington University’s Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Affairs for her M.P.P. Prior to starting the doctoral program in Urban Systems, she was the Director of Research, Evaluation and Policy at the National Action Council for Minorities in Engineering (NACME), where she designed and implemented several evaluation studies of NACME programs and served as a member to the Board of Directors for the Commission on Professional in Science and Technology. Her appointment at NACME followed nearly five years of research experience, the last two as a Research Analyst at SRI International’s Center for Education Policy in Washington, DC. While at SRI, Elizabeth focused on supporting data collection, data management, and analysis for a number of projects. Elizabeth has also served as a peer reviewer for the i3 grants and the Promise Neighborhood grants.
