Biography
Lenore Pearson received her Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Syracuse University and graduated Pi Alpha Alpha with a Masters degree in Public Administration from Rutgers University. Her doctoral research focuses on education and early child development in urban communities.
As a Senior Executive Assistant at Rutgers Newark, Lenore is responsible for the many different aspects of student affairs, working with the student community and promoting growth through education. She was instrumental in securing the CCAMPIS (Child Care Access Means Parents In School) grant for $308,000 over a four-year period to help offset the child care costs for student parents.
Lenore has served on the Rutgers Newark Child Care Committee for over seven years and was devoted to opening the Rutgers Newark Child Care center, the first of its kind ever on the Rutgers Newark campus. The Child Care Center serves up to 30 children ages 2 ½ to 6 years of age, and is available to Rutgers Newark students, faculty and staff and alumni.
