Biography
Debra began her professional career teaching 7th grade math and science and 5th grade all subjects on the Navajo reservation in Ganado, Arizona. She continued as a Teacher Educator in Namibia, Africa where she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer. Upon her return she was a Peace Corps Fellows at Johns Hopkins University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She worked for several years in group home settings with pregnant and parenting teens. She obtained a Master of Public Health from the University of Alabama, Birmingham with an emphasis in International Health.
She continues to enjoy full time employment at a community hospital in Brooklyn working in the pediatric emergency department.
