Frances Rieth Ward
Frances Rieth Ward is Assistant Professor, School of Nursing, at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Newark, New Jersey. She received her Bachelor of Science, Master of Science, and PhD in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania. She also received her Master of Bioethics and a Post Master certificate in teaching from the University of Pennsylvania. Her clinical expertise is in neonatal intensive care. She has been published in nursing and medical peer reviewed journals. Her research expertise and interests are in bioethics, specifically research ethics, perinatal care, specifically families of critically ill newborns, and qualitative methods, specifically descriptive and action research. She is currently on the Board of Directors for the National Perinatal Association. The NIH, through institutional and individual grants, has funded her research.
