Uchenna Uzoaru

Uchenna currently works for the Student Life Department at Rutgers-New Brunswick as a Residence Life Coordinator. As a coordinator she oversees all the first-year halls on the Cook and Douglass campuses, supervising a staff of 5 Hall Directors and 22 Resident Assistants. Prior to becoming a coordinator, she worked in different capacities within Residence Life for 6 years on the Livingston, Busch, and Cook campuses. She has also served on a number of student life committees including Diversity, Staff Selection, Open House, and Large-scale University Programming.

Uchenna has worked for the Middlesex County Care Management Organization in Edison, NJ as a Case Manager providing services to adolescents and families with behavioral and psychological challenges. As an educational coordinator for a youth summer program Uchenna has also taught art, poetry-writing, and English.

Uchenna earned her BA in English and Sociology, and her MA in Educational Psychology from Rutgers University. She currently resides in New Brunswick, NJ with her husband and enjoys cooking and traveling in her spare time.
