Franklin Dickerson Turner
Franklin Dickerson Turner is an Assistant Professor of Education at Queens College, The City University of New York, Flushing, New York. He received his B.S. in African American History from Florida A&M University, M.A. in Educational Psychology from Rutgers University-New Brunswick, and PhD in Urban Educational Policy from Rutgers University-Newark. He has been an adjunct professor in the Psychology Department at Kean University in Union, New Jersey. He was a middle school teacher in the Philadelphia School District. He has a strong record of community service, having worked as a volunteer for Habitat for Humanity in New Orleans, Louisiana, and the United Way of Delaware County, Chester, PA. He is a co-author of “Conveying feelings and coping with grief” in Current Issues in Counseling and Psychotherapy (2005). He is currently a consulting editor for The Journal of Educational Research.
