Ade Tugbiyele SeditaAde has been actively involved in the building industry, working with landscape designers, architects, contractors and developers, for over a decade. Over time she became more interested in the relationships between culture, politics and economics, and how they affect cities.  Ade received her bachelor’s degree from the New Jersey School of Architecture in 2002. She has exhibited her art work at Philosophy Box Gallery in New York and at City Without Walls in Newark. In 2004 her work was selected by Pro Arts for display at Goldman Sachs for a Black History Month exhibition.  In 2006 she curated the political art show. Enough is Enough. She is currently co-producing a film that captures the art scene in Newark. Ade is Partner/Co-owner of Newark Art Supply, the first art supply store in Newark in over ten years.The business contributes to the economy of Newark while strengthening the artist community. Ade’s dissertation will explore models of innovative ventures in urban environments that break cycles of pain.
