Colette Santasieri
Colette received a BS in Environmental Planning and Design from Cook College, Rutgers New Brunswick and an MS in Civil Engineering (Construction Management concentration) from NJIT. Since 1984 she has worked in the private and public sectors mainly in the field of transportation. Colette has worked on federal and state environmental permitting and assessments, capital programming and funding of transportation projects, and public policy development. Currently, as Director of Strategic Initiatives at the New Jersey Institute of Technology, she develops and oversees projects in transportation, land use and environmental planning, and public policy. Her research interests involve potential waterfront land use conflicts resulting from Port Newark/Elizabeth's need to remain competitive and the surrounding cities' desire to redevelop properties for residential, retail, recreation and entertainment uses.
