Syed Agha M. Naqvi

Syed Agha M. NaqviNaqvi received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Allama Iqbal Medical College, Lahore, Pakistan and his Surgical Pathology degree from Basic Medical Sciences Institute, Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre University, Karachi. He served there as Assistant Professor. As a founder and director of FNAC clinic he successfully devised strategies for early diagnosis of fine needle aspiration cytology material submitted for cytopathological evaluation. As director of MDS laboratory, he pioneered the chemiluminescence technology for hormone evaluation in Karachi. Naqvi is now working on his dissertation in Urban Systems: a study of the health effect of air pollution and traffic by looking at hospital admission patterns of heart failure patients. This study is based in New Jersey and incorporates a variety of data sets including hospital health records, ambient air pollution, census tract and traffic density data.
