Alessandro DeGregori

Alessandro DeGregoriAs an undergraduate Alessandro studied economics at the Universities of Milan and Rome, Italy. After moving to the U.S, he earned a Master of Science in Product Design from IIT, Institute of Design, Chicago in 1970. He was: Manager of the Design Development Group for Knoll International, New York; Associate Professor of Design, Carnegie Mellon University, Pittsburgh; and Vice President of Design, Formica Corporation in Wayne, New Jersey. A renewed interest in architecture led him to pursue graduate studies at the New Jersey School of Architecture where he earned a Master of Science in Architecture in 2007 with a thesis investigating interdisciplinary factors in planning schools as environments that support learning. This thesis has strengthened his interest in conducting research on high school learning environments.
