Infectious Diseases of the Mouth: Deadly Diseases and Epidemics

This book is filled with practical medical facts, including the anatomy and biology of the mouth, the types of
diseases that affect it, and how they can be prevented and treated. The Society of School Librarians International gave it a “Best Book Award” in the science category for 2007 (grades 7-12).

Dr. Kachlany is an assistant professor and vice chair of oral biology, and assistant professor of microbiology and
molecular genetics at UMDNJ-New Jersey Dental School.

Dr. Robson is an associate professor and director of environmental and occupational health at UMDNJ-School of Public Health. Dr. Toscano is a professor and division head of environmental and occupational health at the University of Minnesota School of Public Health, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Dr. Gordon is currently serving as chief resident of surgery at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School/Cooper University Hospital, Camden. Dr. Hewitt is professor of surgery at UMDNJ-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School/Camden, and director of surgical research at UMDNJ/Cooper Health System. Dr. Lee is professor of surgery and orthopedic surgery, and chief of plastic surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Pennsylvania.
