"Every afternoon he was out on the courts. He never got tired." But severe abdominal pains and shortness of breath brought the 22-year-old to the emergency room in September, 1994. X-rays showed a seriously enlarged heart, working at only 10 percent of capacity. Hassan's health has been "up and down like a staircase ever since," says his mother.
