National
Award for UMDNJ Publications

It has been
a very good year for UMDNJ's publications! HealthState won the Clarion
award for best magazine series, entitled 21st Century Medicine:
Replaceable You. The series appeared in the Winter 2000 issue. For
the second year in a row, bodyworks, UMDNJ's health newsletter for
middle school students, won the Clarion award for best external
newsletter. The Clarion, a national award for excellence in communications,
is given by the Association for Women in Communications.
In winning
these awards, UMDNJ is in distinguished company. Among the other
winners were Time, Philadelphia magazine, Sports Illustrated, The
Seattle Times, Newsweek and Dateline NBC.
