On September 19, 2000, 12 inaugural members were inducted into UMDNJ's Master Educators' Guild, which was formed to recognize, support and encourage exceptional faculty at the University. These dozen topnotch teachers were chosen from a faculty numbering approximately 2,000. Each was singled out for outstanding personal and professional qualities and remarkable contributions to UMDNJ's educational mission.
