The University Hospital Bioethics Committee and the Pastoral Care Department were the sponsors of this event. The purpose was to provide a forum that encouraged dialogue with representatives from the Muslim community.

1/12 --U.S. Department of Justice Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Health Fair
For the third consecutive year, staff members attended the DEA health fair. In addition to serving as health fair, the event also served as a commemoration to the life and legacy of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

1/17 -- Newark Teachers Union Lecture: "Tips for Reading Food Labels"
Lisa Goode, clinical nutritionist, Department of Food and Nutrition Services, was a guest speaker at the monthly meeting of the Newark Teachers Union. Ms. Goode spoke to an audience of more than 50 seniors.
"I know the answer!" says attendees at the Newark Teachers Union Meeting. Clinical Nutritionist Lisa Goode led a talk called, "Tips for Reading Food Labels" at their monthly meeting.
