7/20 and 7/27 -- SMART Students Presentation at Bethany Senior Center
 As part of New Jersey Medical School’s Science, Math and Related Topics (SMART) Program, high school seniors performed health education skits at Bethany Senior Center. A total of 30 students participated in two performances at the center where they combined facts and youthful energy to teach 40 senior citizens about second hand-smoke, falling and hypertension.

7/22 -- La Iglesia Centro Cristiano El Calvario Health Fair
The University Hospital was proud to help make this church's first health fair successful. During the event, which attracted more than 100 people, Juio Colon of Orthopaedics and Ilsa Curtis of UMDCare screened guests for hypertension and diabetes.
