2007 Pedersen Awardees
This year, the five runners up for 2007 Employee of the Year were honored with the Alan M. Pedersen Award. This award, created by the family of Alan Pedersen to honor his memory; Alan was a dedicated staff member of UH who worked in the Angiography Department. The following winners of the 2007 Alan M. Pedersen Award were presented with a certificate at the April UH Leadership meeting: Robert Fede, MD, Hospital Medicine, Patricia Murphy, PhD, Family Support Team and Lois Hull, Patient Advocacy. Award recipients Kadia Jackson, I-Blue and George Sisnero, RN, H-Green were unable to attend the UH Leadership meeting in April but were presented with their certificates separately.

to high employee morale and group effectiveness
- Inspired

- Pioneered
process or technology resulting in major cost savings

DO THIS...
1. Complete a Five-Star
Nomination Form (found on the Communication Bulletin
Boards or on-line).
2. Bring the completed form to the nominee's manager for his/her
approval. If it is approved, send the nomination form to Kitty Donohue, Department of Service Excellence, UH-C437
THEN
THIS WILL HAPPEN...
1. All the winners will be invited to a luncheon with the CEO. They
will have their names added to the Wall of Stars (in the
cafeteria), be featured in the Five-Star Service Quarterly News, and
be eligible to win the Five
Star Service Employee of the Year Award. They will also receive
a Gold Star Service Pin, have their pictures taken and
be given a copy of the newsletter that they are "starring"
in.
