Compliance Vision
To maintain an environment that promotes integrity and ethical behavior. To maintain an efficiency in our work environment and to help employees in their efforts to better understand the federal & state regulations that govern the hospital.
Operating Structure
At UH, the Compliance Program has the following elements: Defining standards and policies, providing adequate training, implementing consistent disciplinary action, monitoring performance, maintaining a reporting system, and investigating reports of violations.
The Compliance Program at UH operates through a committee structure:
UH Compliance Committee
Chaired by the President of Hospital, the committee is comprised of top level management and compliance officers of the hospital and the University. The Committee provides oversight to the Compliance Program.
Subcommittees
Subcommittees report to the UH Compliance Committee and are charged with implementing the compliance program i.e. developing policies and procedures, training program, and monitoring & auditing mechanism. The following subcommittees are in operation:
- Billing Compliance Subcommittee
- Laboratory Compliance Subcommittee
- Pharmacy Compliance Subcommittee
- Radilology Compliance Subcommittee
