SHUTTLE SCHEDULE

NEWARK PENN STATION SHUTTLE SERVICE
ENHANCEMENTS / SCHEDULE CHANGES
EFFECTIVE JULY 24, 2006

Please be advised that based upon survey responses regarding our customers arriving and departing train / bus schedules, we have realigned our shuttle schedules. Thank you to all who responded to our surveys in recent weeks.

ALL STOPS, ALL DAY (BUS # 1)
Bus # 1 runs from 6:50am through 10:40pm making all stops.

EXPRESS SERVICE (BUS #’s 2 & 3)
We are now providing two “express” shuttles during the morning and evening rush hours. Bus #2 will service Penn Station, Broad & Market Streets, the Medical Science Building, and 12th Avenue, while Bus #3 will service the same stops but will also service the Bergen Building. The addition of this second “express” bus should help to minimize commuting times during rush hours.

X= No service

The UMDNJ Newark Penn Station Shuttle Operates Monday through Friday from 6:40AM through 10:40PM.

All schedules are contingent upon traffic, weather, and security measures.

Our bus drivers are instructed not to leave each bus stop until the time as indicated above.

There are three bus routs serving the Newark campus:

  • Bus # 1 is the local bus and makes all of the stops, operating from 6:50AM through 10:40PM.

  • Buses #2 & #3 are express buses and run only during rush hour periods in the AM & PM. Bus # 3 makes a stop at the Bergen building.

UMDNJ I.D. tags are required every time a passenger enters the bus. Please have your UMDNJ ID tag displayed before entering the bus.
