ABOUT US

Transportation Services offers an array of services to UMDNJ employees who drive a UMDNJ vehicle, ride the UMDNJ shuttles, or just need to plan that special UMDNJ trip/outing. We offer patient transportation for many UMDNJ departments including FXB, University Hospital and Robert Wood Johnson Medical School Pediatrics. We also participate in various UMDNJ functions such as Commencement, Convocation, and Golf Outing! We support the University Hospital in inclement weather by transporting hospital staff from home to work. During snowstorms we maintain the Snow Removal equipment 24/7 to ensure the reliability of the equipment and safety of employees/students while snow/ice removal is necessary.

Currently, the UMDNJ fleet consists of 400 vehicles. Our fleet varies from ambulances, public safety vehicles, passenger & cargo vans to recreational vehicles; we maintain each vehicle to manufacturer specifications.

Transportation Services is available 24/7 for emergency situations and stays in contact with staff via pagers and two-way radios.
