UMDNJ Procurement Event Marks 14th Anniversary
The UMDNJ Office of Supplier Diversity and Vendor Development is pleased to report that the 14th Anniversary Annual UMDNJ Procurement Event and Luncheon was a huge success. The event was held at the Woodbridge Hotel (Formerly The Sheraton at Woodbridge Place) in Iselin, New Jersey on October 20, 2008.
The opening session speaker was James Rowan, Chief of Staff; and the keynote luncheon speaker was Trustee Milton Hollar-Gregory, Esquire.
The purpose of the Procurement Event was to continue to outline new university-wide policies on purchasing and supply chain strategy. This year’s theme was “Inclusion Through Diversity” and the workshops focused on helping business leaders and entrepreneurs better understand the process of building and maintaining business relationships with the university. Attendees received information through workshops and one-on-one interviews with buyers; after which they were able to register their business with the UMDNJ Office of Supplier Diversity and Vendor Development.
