A condition of financing educational expenses through federal
loan programs is the completion of both an Entrance and
Exit Interview Program. All first time borrowers at UMDNJ
complete an Entrance Interview. This is typically done as
part of the Financial Aid Orientation Program. The Exit
Interview is conducted at the time of separation from the
University. Professional school program dates are built
into the academic calendar. Senior students should review
the Exit Calendar posted on this
site for dates prior to scheduling vacations or out of state
rotations. Students who received educational loans while
in attendance at UMDNJ and withdraw or take a Leave of Absence
must also complete an Exit Interview. Since these status
dates vary directions for completing the Exit Interview
are provided directly to the borrower from the Financial
Aid Office on a case by case basis. The Financial Aid Office
publishes an extensive Exit Handbook which is located on our website. Click here to view. Exit Handbooks
are archived for four years.
