Library Facilities
Study Rooms

Four small group study rooms, each seating approximately six people, are equipped with DVD players and whiteboards. Reservations are required, are made for a two-hour period on a first-come, first-served basis, and may be extended, based on need. A current UMDNJ or Kennedy identification badge must be presented on request when reserving a room. Reservations may be made in person, by phone or via email. A reservation will be held for fifteen minutes past the requested time; after this, the room will be made available to the next requester.

Two additional rooms, each with seating for twelve, are also available on a first-come, first-served basis. Reservations are not taken for these rooms. Preferential access will be given for individual quiet study or faculty use for small group teaching.

Quiet Study Areas

A Quiet Study room adjacent to the Circulation Desk is available in the Library. Users should turn off (or set to an inaudible signal) all cell phones, pagers, and other devices with audible alarms upon entering. Talking and conversation of any kind is discouraged. These rooms are reserved for individual research and study and cannot be reserved by students. Group study is available in group study rooms.

Photocopies and Printing

A photocopier for use by Library patrons is located across from the Circulation Desk. Bills, change, or pre-valued cards may be used to operate the copy machine. Cards are purchased from a vending machine located next to the copier.  Copy cost is 10¢ per copy. All copying is in black-and-white.

Food and Drink

Beverages in bottles, cans and covered containers are permissible. Dry snack type food is permitted in the Library, such as cookies, crackers, pretzels, or a piece of fruit. Full meals and foods that leave an odor are not permitted to be consumed in the Library. Please respect this policy.
