How do I log into Banner Web for Student?

From the SHRP homepage at http//www.shrp.umdnj.edu, highlight the Registrar tab on the left side and use the side menu to navigate to “Register Online.” The link is also “https://banweb.umdnj.edu:8090 and you should click on the key icon.

I can't log into Banner Web for Student. Who should I call for assistance?

Students that attempt to log-in to Banner Web for Student unsuccessfully three times will have their access pin disabled. Students will then need to contact the UMDNJ Technology Service Center at (732) 743-3200 between the hours of 7:30am and 5:00pm , Monday through Friday to request for their Banner Web for Student access to be reset.

What is the difference between my Web Registration Pin and my Banner Web for Student access pin? (Why can't I register online after I received my pin from my Program Director?)

To enter Web for Student, in the “User ID” field, students must enter either their Social Security Number, UMDNJ e-mail name or their automated ID (A00123456). The “Pin” by default is your birth date (MMDDYY) and is six digits long. All users will be prompted to change their access pin after immediately entering the module. Students should not enter their web registration pin received from their Program Director under the ‘Pin' field in the Banner Web for Student portal entrance. The web registration pin received from your Program Director or academic advisor is used to finalize your registration request. Entering the web registration pin is the final step, please see the example below:

What are the undergraduate and graduate tuition rates for the academic year?

The undergraduate and graduate tuition rates change each year, as approved by the UMDNJ Board of Trustees. Please visit our Tuition and Fees webpage by clicking here to view the current rates.

When does the academic semester begin and when is the last date I can drop a course?

Click here for semester registration and drop/add dates. Students registering after the Drop/Add period will be assessed a late registration fee.

What are the hours for the Enrollment Services Center ?
The Enrollment Services Center is opened from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday through Friday and is located in Room 147 of the Stanley S. Bergen building in Newark . The phone number is (973) 972-5454 and the fax number is (973) 972-7463 .

W hen and where will Commencement be held?

Commencement will be held on May 25, 2005 at the PNC Arts Center in Holmdel. If you will be attending, we hope you have indicated this information on your Application for Graduation, If not, please advise Enrollment Services at (973) 972-5454 , Please click here to visit our Commencement webpage for more information.

 


If I am in a Joint Program, how do I know which school I should receive my certificate/diploma from? Do I need to apply for graduation at both schools?

Graduates will receive their certificate/diploma from the school they pay tuition. Applicants for Graduation should apply to both schools that they will be graduating from. Students that pay tuition to the affiliate school will be billed a $30.00 Graduation fee from SHRP . Students paying tuition to UMDNJ will be billed a $60.00 Graduation fee and will received their grades, transcripts and their certificate/diploma from SHRP Enrollment Services. All graduates from the School of Health Related Professions will also receive an Alumni Certificate from the Alumni Foundation.

What are the deadlines for Applying for Graduation?

January graduates must submit their Application for Graduation prior to September 15th of each year. May and September prospective graduates must submit their form before October 25th of each year.

What happens if I will not be able to complete my Requirements for Graduation for my expected Graduation Date?

Students who do not complete their academic requirements by their expected graduation date must re-submit an Application for Graduation for the next graduation period. There are three graduations each year: January, May and September. There will not be a charge or fee assessed for reapplying to graduate from the same program. Students that will not complete their degree requirements by the allotted time designated for their program (i.e. five years to complete an associates degree program) should advise their Program Director and Enrollment Services.

How can I get a verification that I attend/ed UMDNJ- SHRP or request a transcript to be sent?

SHRP students may request an enrollment certification by submitting the Enrollment Verification request form , which is available online. The Transcript Request form is also available online which should also be submitted to Enrollment Services.

All of my courses are pre-selected (blocked-registered); will I need to submit a Registration form to Enrollment Services?

No, students in these programs should follow their Requirements for Graduation and may confirm their registration online in the Banner Web for Student module. Students should contact their Program Director or Advisor for any questions about their registration.

I am in a web program, how do I get set-up in WebCT and who should I contact if I am questions getting started?

The web address to log into WebCT is http://www.umdnj.edu/webctweb/ Students with WebCT questions should call (973) 972-8504 . Students will need to use their UMDNJ e-mail

 

I tried to add/drop classes online but had some difficulty. Please help.

Students can add classes online using Web for Student but will be unable to drop the last class r egistered. This prevents students from being active but not registered. Students wishing to drop all courses must complete a Withdrawal from Course form and a Maintaining Matriculation or Leave of Absence form if the student will not be registered for the respective term.

I recently changed my contact information, how do I notify the school of my change in information?

Student can update their e-mail address but not their addresses and phone numbers. Currently, this information must be updated through the use of a Change of Student Data form and submitting it to Enrollment Services. Students that change from out-of-state to in-state residency must submit a Request for Residency Change so that they may receive eligibility for in-state tuition. Students should contact the billing department or Cashier's Office at (973) 972-6307 to ensure that Accounts Receivable has updated this information as well so that bills may be sent to the correct address.

Can I submit an application online?

Prospective students may begin to submit applications for admissions in the next few weeks beginning for the Spring 2006 admit semester. Advisements will be posted on the SHRP homepage. Applicants will be required to submit the application fee through a credit card.

How do I receive and activate my UMDNJ e-mail account?

New student will receive information in their student acceptance packet about how to set-up their UMDNJ e-mail account and information may be found on the New Student Orientation CD. Students may contact the ACS Support Desk at (973) 972-6789 to address questions on e-mail accounts. ACS E-mail Accounts can be activated online at https://safe.umdnj.edu/~acs_apps/ but user passwords expire after every six months.

How do I find out what my UMDNJ Student ID number is?

New students can find out what their ID is when they enter their Web for Student account for the first time. Each ID begins with A00 and is followed by six digits.

Will there be a New Student Orientation?

All new students, including students admitted to joint programs shall receive a New Student Orientation CD which they should use to become familiar with the School of Health Related Professions .

If I am choosing to leave SHRP , will I need to officially withdraw from my program?

Yes, students seeking to leave must submit an Official Withdrawal from the School Form so that they may have their official student records released (i.e. official transcripts) and be cleared of all encumbrances.

If I withdraw from SHRP , will I be able to have my graduation fee refunded?

Yes, students who officially withdraw should submit a Graduation Fee Refund Request form and their graduation fee will be refunded.
