Campus and Clinical Facilities
All classes are held on UMDNJ’s newest campus in Scotch Plains where the Allied Dental Education offices are housed during the first term of study. Students will complete their clinical education at the New Jersey Dental School in Newark, in addition to classes on the Scotch Plains Campus the second term of the profession.

Dental hygiene students in the UMDNJ-SHRP program pursue their education in New Jersey’s largest and foremost center for health education, research, and service at UMDNJ’s $200 million campus in Newark, NJ. The campus includes a medical science building, a dental school, a behavioral health center and a teaching hospital, all of which are interconnected. The Newark campus is also the home of the George F. Smith Library of Health Sciences, a major resource for dental and biomedical literature in New Jersey and the Northeast.
Housing

TransportationThe Scotch Plains campus, located in Union County, 1776 Raritan Road, Scotch Plains, NJ. 07076 close to the Garden State Parkway (exit 135) and US Highway 22. A car is recommended for travel to the Scotch Plains campus.
The UMDNJ Newark campus is easily reached by public transportation from New Jersey and New York City. By car, it is within a 15-minute drive of the Garden State Parkway and the New Jersey Turnpike.
