team philosophy, a core of allied dental courses
has been developed.
UMDNJ is the only program in New Jersey that
gives students the option to transfer completed
core courses (with a grade of "C"
or better) into the Dental Hygiene Program,
providing Dental Assisting students with a unique
career ladder opportunity.
Accreditation
The Dental Assisting program is approved by
the New Jersey Department of Higher Education
and accredited by the Council on Dental Accreditation
of the American Dental Association, the specialized
accrediting agency recognized by the Council
on Post-secondary Accreditation and the U.S.
Department of Education.
