Curriculum for the joint Bachelor of Science in Clinical Laboratory Sciences (BS in CLS) degree program consists of preprofessional component coursework completed at one of the 11 collaborating New Jersey Colleges and Universities and professional component coursework completed at UMDNJ.
Preprofessional Component Coursework
A minimum of 90 semester hours of general education and basic science coursework is required for all students in the BS in CLS program. Basic science requirements consist of 1) a core of courses required for all BS in CLS students plus 2) specific science courses required by BS in CLS major. Depending on the student's interest in preparing for employment opportunities or in pursuing advanced degrees, additional recommended mathematics and science course electives are identified by major.
