Students needing help with writing papers or other course documents should contact the Office of Student Services. Writing instructors from other colleges and universities associated with SHRP are available to assist students for short-term tutoring.

The School of Health Related Professions takes very seriously acts of plagiarism. Below is the definition and statement regarding plagiarism that can also be found on page 7 of the SHRP Student Handbook.
Plagiarism is an act whereby an individual represents someone else's words, ideas, phrases, sentences or data, whether oral, in print or in electronic form, including internet sources, as his/her own work. Examples include, but are not limited to:
- Using the exact words (verbatim) of another source without quotations and appropriate referencing;
- Using the ideas, thoughts, opinions, data or theories of another without reference, even if completely paraphrased;
- Using charts and diagrams from another source without revision, permission from the author and/or appropriate referencing;
- Using facts and data from another source without a reference unless information is considered commom knowledge.
