Search Services
The University has contracted with twelve (12) companies to provide Search Services University-wide through the Human Resource Department Generalist. The contract is Proposal #P10-024 and is in effect from October 1, 2010 through September 30, 2013, and may be extended two additional one year periods at the discretion of the University. The table below lists vendor name, address and contact information. To conduct a search for your department, you must contact your campus Human Resource Department Generalist and Denise Council at #5-9060 for additional contract information. A request for search services is permitted with these vendors only after the Vice President for Human Resources grants approval.
Engagement Procedure:
a. The Director of Human Resources Services or his/her designee in collaboration with the requesting school or unit will select a minimum of three (3) awarded Contractors per specialty for each engagement. Contractors will be provided with specific job descriptions in order to submit a response and will be given a maximum of ten (10) working days from the date received for the submission of proposal responses.
b. The written cost proposal must detail the costs necessary to conduct the search in accordance with the Contractor’s salary percentage provided in Section 8.0. Payment terms are net 45 days. The proposal must also include an estimate of the time necessary to conduct a thorough search, identify the individual who will provide or lead the search effort, and provide the resumes of contractors key personnel.
c. In some instances, Contractors may be consulted to discuss recruitment before an award is made.
Engagement award criteria in addition to pricing will be considered as follows:
- Experience in performing recruitment for the particular position requested.
- Compliance with State and Federal EEOC guidelines.
d. The Contractor's proposal should detail the Contractor’s technical approach to the work effort, a budget, work schedule and list of individuals who will be assigned to the engagement.
1. Award selection for each project will be determined by the Director of Human Resources Services or his/her designee in collaboration with the requesting school or unit, who will review and evaluate the responses received. A UMDNJ Purchase Order will be issued to the selected Contractor in the amount of the proposal submitted as an official method of award.
2. Non-selected contractors will be notified by the Purchasing Department.
