Cooling Tower Maintenance and Repair Services
The University has contracted with three (3) companies to provide Cooling Tower Maintenance and Repair Services for the Physical Plant. The contract is Proposal #P07-064 and is in effect from February 24, 2007 through February 23, 2010, and may be extended two additional years at the discretion of the University and Contractors. The table below lists vendor name, address and contact information. The Contracts designates two types of services: General services and Project Specific Services. General Services include the tasks listed in Section 3.11 of the RFP and Project Specific tasks include services not considered general service and exceed $2,500.00. Engagement Procedure:
Method of Engagement General Service
UDMNJ will designate the three (3) Contractors chosen as primary, secondary or tertiary based on their submitted hourly rates. UMDNJ will then use the primary Contractor first for an estimate. If the primary Contractor is unable to respond in the time required the Physical Plant Project Manager will contact successive Contractors.
Method of Engagement Project Service Tasks
The Physical Plant Project Manager will provide a scope of work on project service tasks to the primary, secondary and tertiary Contractors. The Contractors will provide written quotes and the Physical Plant Project Manager will use the lowest of the three quotes, which match the scope of work.
