SUBJECT: Change in Primary Distributor of Medical/Surgical
Supplies
DATE: March 12, 2001
This is to notify all UMDNJ Departments that an effort is underway
to convert our medical/surgical supply vendor from McKesson
GM to Owens & Minor (O&M) under the UHC-Novation agreement.
This change was in response to an evaluation done by the Supply
Chain Strategic Work Group to investigate opportunities for
supply cost reductions and service delivery issues.
How does this change affect you?

If you currently receive medical/surgical distributed products
from McKesson, the transition to O&M is in effect now
through March 31, 2001. After March 31, 2001, you will no
longer receive the Novation distributor pricing from McKesson.
Orders must be placed with O&M to receive proper Novation
agreement discounts.
