Application

Only candidates who have acquired a Master’s degree will be eligible for intern consideration.

The internship stipend is $22,000 and includes medical benefits, optional dental benefits, life insurance, drug prescription plan, and disability insurance. Medical Benefits begin on November 1, two months after the start of the internship. Psychology interns do not receive Pension and Life Insurance Benefits. A total of ten (10) days off are allowed. Interns need access to private automobiles for getting to all training sites.

We utilize the APPIC on-line application process. Applications can be obtained from APPIC at http://www.appic.org.

If you are matched with UMDNJ-Piscataway, the University will conduct a criminal background check at no cost to you. To do so, we will give our Human Resources department your identifying information. While employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, a criminal conviction does not automatically prohibit employment. Eligibility for employment will be determined by the administration of University Behavioral and Correctional HealthCare in consultation with UMDNJ Human Resources. Applicants who match to our program but do not successfully pass this background check will not be employed as pre-doctoral interns (APPIC Match policy 6b states, "Appointments of applicants to internship positions may be contingent upon the applicants satisfying certain eligibility requirements. Such eligibility requirements must be clearly specified in the internship programs' written materials and provided to applicants in advance of the deadline for submitting rankings for the APPIC Match.")
