International Doctors in Alcoholics Anonymous [IDAA] is a group of approximately 4,500 recovering health care professionals doctorate level who help one another achieve and maintain sobriety from addictions. IDAA patterns itself after Alcoholics Anonymous in that there are no dues or fees. The only requirement for membership is a desire to stay sober and off mood altering drugs.

The International Early Psychosis Association [IEPA] is an international network for people involved in the study and treatment of early psychosis. It provides a forum for members around the world who wish to promote and facilitate best practice in education, research and treatment.

Objectives:

  • Enhance awareness of early psychosis and the process of recovery
  • Provide a network for international communication and collaboration between stakeholders, including mental health professionals, consumers and their families, and policy makers
  • Contribute to the development of knowledge about early psychosis and its treatment
  • Facilitate research including multicentre trials, cross-cultural research and long term studies
  • Facilitate the development and promotion of best practice in identifying early psychosis and providing optimal treatment
  • Improve services to young people with emerging psychosis and their families, through encouragement of appropriate mental health policies
  • Improve access to information on the identification and treatment of early psychosis
  • Arrange conferences and professional meetings on an international level that focus on the early phase of psychotic disorders
  • Provide links to existing educational resources and training options
