The British Psychoanalytical Society [BPAS] was founded in 1919. Its activities include:
  • Development of the theory and practice of psychoanalysis
  • Training and further education of psychoanalysts
  • Provision of treatment through the London Clinic of Psychoanalysis
  • Publishing books and journals
  • Research
  • Public lectures

The latter include 10 lectures in the Autumn term and 14 in the Spring. There is also a series entitled "Psychoanalysis & Cinema" conducted Sunday mornings.

The Society the Institute for Psychoanalysis are co-located in both Einsteinian- and Cyber-space.

The British Society for Population Studies [BSPS] is a non-profitable society of persons who have demonstrated a scientific interest in the study of human populations. BSPS was founded in 1973, but its origin goes back in the previous decade.

The main objectives of the Society are to further the scientific study of biological, economic, historical, medical, social and other disciplines connected with human populations and to contribute to the public awareness of these problems. The society provides a forum for the discussion of issues connected with human population and acts as a vehicle for the interchange of education ideas.
