Postdoctoral Fellowship Supplementation Program
The primary goal of the UMDNJ Postdoctoral Supplementation
Program is to assist in recruiting talented and promising
postdoctoral fellows to UMDNJ to collaborate on research
projects with faculty members. UMDNJ supplements the stipends
of those fellows who receive competitive awards from external
agencies in recognition of the postdoctoral fellow's academic
excellence. To apply for a postdoctoral supplement, applicants must submit the following to the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs:
- A one page application form
- A two-page information form
- A Curriculum Vitae
- A letter of nomination from their mentor
- A copy of the Notice of Grant Award confirming the amount, duration and source of the external funding
If approved, the $5,000 supplement will be awarded for a one-year term; continued funding in subsequent years is contingent upon the availability of funds, and the review and approval of an annual progress report. Supplements will be awarded for a maximum of three (3) years. Supplementation of postdoctoral fellowship awards is contingent upon being a named postdoctoral fellow and having health insurance coverage through the University's Health Plan.
There is no single receipt date for applications for the Postdoctoral Stipend Supplementation program. Applicants will be accepted throughout the year.
