POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN NEUROSCIENCE

A postdoctoral fellowship position is available in the Department of Radiology, UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School. The candidate will conduct studies on mild traumatic brain injury in a rat model related to mitochondrial function. Multidisciplinary approaches including functional Laser Doppler Imaging, functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging, extracellular recording of cortical neural activity and histological methods are applied. Candidates should have a M.D. and/or Ph.D. in neuroscience, physiology, biophysics, biomedical engineering, pharmacology or a related field. Candidates with previous rodent surgical, extracellular electrophysiological, behavioral or histological experience will be given priority. Based on further interest, the candidate shall be encouraged to pursue and train in functional imaging.
