POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN MOLECULAR BIOLOGY
QUALIFICATIONS: A Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Cell or Molecular Biology or related discipline is required.
The appointee will study the biology of unique cyclins as they relate to DNA replication, DNA repair and checkpoint processes in the cell. The successful candidate will have experience in aspects of DNA replication and repair and expertise in aspects of biochemistry, molecular biology and cell biology as it relates to the study of these cellular processes.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Postdoctoral appointee will be responsible for conducting research in Molecular Biology under the direction of the principle investigator. This role includes research and development of new research areas, teaching in the graduate program and supervision of students and related lab personnel.
With assistance from senior faculty, the appointee will be offered the opportunity to gain teaching experience in the various graduate programs existing within the Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences-Stratford Division.
The successful candidate will be encouraged to transition into independent research endeavors with the intent of becoming a faculty member of the Department of Molecular Biology.
