POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN TRANSCRIPTIONAL REGULATION BY NUCLEAR RECEPTORS
One position is available to study gene regulation by nuclear hormone receptors with an emphasis on transcriptional coregulatory factors. Projects include: 1) investigating androgen receptor coactivators in prostate cancer progression and, 2) studying thyroid hormone receptor mediated transcriptional repression in brain and heart muscle cells. Applicants should have experience in: a) protein purification from cellular extracts, b) recombinant DNA and cloning, c) mammalian cell culture, d) expression and purification of recombinant proteins, e) chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) assays, and f) mouse handling or animal work.
