POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN PHYSIOLOGY AND BIOPHYSICS

Ruan Lab has an immediate opening for a postdoctoral position in the field of obesity and type 2 diabetes. Research in our lab focuses on the molecular mechanisms of insulin resistance. We are working to understand the molecular details and to identify the molecular link between obesity and insulin resistance. Applications should have a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Biology and/or related field, with 0-1 year of postdoctoral experience. Must be skilled in standard molecular biology techniques, tissue culture, and mice handling,attentive to details and deadlines, and prepare first draft of manuscripts and reports. Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills required. Must be willing to learn new techniques and work with radioactive materials and animal models if necessary.
