Position: Market Development Associate
Stem Cells & Regenerative Medicine
Location: Frederick, Maryland

This position is an exciting opportunity to learn about the commercial applications of science in the Stem Cell Group at Invitrogen. The Market Development Associate will assist in the development of various marketing strategies on a global level, including, but not limited to:

• Web Marketing
• Manage existing content and creating new content
• Search engine optimization
• Creating video based online training center
• Marketing literature
• Update and create new marketing literature
• Expand customer database
• Manage attendance at trade shows/conferences
• New product launches
• Other general marketing activities as required and/or assigned

Position requirements:

Bachelor's degree or PhD in a stem cell related discipline. Marketing experience preferred or activities that demonstrate an interest in the commercial applications of science. Experience of creating websites, web based marketing, search engine optimization, making and editing videos a definite plus. A high proficiency in common software applications such as Excel and Adobe Creative Suite is required.

Excellent written and oral communication skills are required. Must be able to interface effectively with all levels of company employees and customers. Must demonstrate judgment, tact and diplomacy in dealing with internal and external customers as well the ability to handle confidential and proprietary information. Initiative and organization skills are extremely valuable. Must possess self motivation, enthusiasm, a positive attitude and perform as a team player.
