POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN NEUROSCIENCE AND CELL BIOLOGY

Qualifications
Ph.D. in a relevant science. Experience in protein science and working with databases. Must have a familarity with computer programming. Ability to think independently is essential.

Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the Postdoctoral Fellow's duties may include, initiating a bioinformatics strategy to understand how tropomyosin evolved as an actin binding protein. By creating a phlogenetic tree and measuring the shifts in evolutinary rates of individual residues. Responsible for developing testable hypotheses about which residues may bind to the conserved protein, actin.
