POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN MOLECULAR BASIS OF MALARIA

Post-doctoral position is available immediately, to fresh Ph.D.s or candidates with less than 2 years of postdoctoral experience, in the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics at UMDNJ at Newark, New Jersey to study molecular basis of Malaria.

Research projects involve the study of infection of host cells, by Plasmodium sporozoites, using the tools of genomics, molecular genetics and gene knockouts. Applicants should possess a doctoral degree and have experience in immunology, microbial pathogenesis and/or molecular biolgy disciplines. Candidates, not allergic to animals and with laboratory experience with animals are preferred. Prior experience in Malaria research is a plus.
