POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN BIOCHEMISTRY

A number of postdoctoral positions are available in the Department of Biochemistry, in the laboratory of Prof. Kiran Chada.

Qualifications:  Candidate must possess a Doctoral level degree in a relevant science.  Experience in mouse husbandry, mammalian cell culture and current techiques in molecular and cell biology are required. Expertise in immunohistochemistry and pathology would be desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities: There are two projects. First, under the direction of the laboratory director, the postdoctoral appointee will be responsible for planning and executing ongoing research focused on a diagnostic marker (HMGA2) for a number of tumor cell types including colon and breast cancer. Second, the postdoctoral appointee will investigate the role of a number of genes in adipogenesis and obesity. Both animal and cell culture model systems will be utilized.
