Information and Appointment Scheduled 8:30am - 4:30 pm To assist referring physicians, each center has a referral relations administrator whom can be reached during regular office hours (Monday - Friday - 8:30am - 4:30 pm) and is available to facilitate appointments, act as a liaison with referring physicians, consulting physicians, patients, and families, as well as facilitate emergency referral and telephone consultations with the respective doctor.  Patients may be self-referred to the UMDNJ - New Jersey Medical School Section of Neurological Surgery or referred by physicians, or health care organizations. If a patient is physician-referred, a timely appointment will be scheduled for a general neurosurgical consultation or for 2 nd opinion consults with one of the sub-specialty areas. Follow-up care may be provided by the primary care or referring physicians in conjunction with the attending neurosurgeon.
